A reproducible pattern, accessible without adult help:

Mama is near → rhyme → apple → chewing → calm

How does the apple work?

• Chewing muscles → activation of the trigeminal nerve → parasympathetic response

• Sweet taste → soft dopamine response without overload

• The action itself → controlled → restores agency

Mama Bee speaks the same language as the child — says the rhyme and chews the apple together. Mama Bee transmits calm. The child mirrors it.

If she is calm — then I am safe.

What happens in the psyche:
